Rings
Gearing up for another wedding season here in Jackson Hole, and I couldn’t be more excited. Thinking about some different things that I want to incorporate a bit more this year, like more macro shots.
Speaking of which, this is my wife’s wedding and engagement rings, shot in macro. Freshly polished in a cup of warm water and some dawn dish detergent, with an old toothbrush from under the kitchen sink, staged on our kitchen table on a bottle of diffuser with some Christmas lights strung in the background. I think it’s easy to over do it with something like macro photography, but I also think – if done tastefully – they really capture a side of the story that magnifies the prominence of the event.
You know, there’s that old stereotype about photographers – how they don’t have many printed photos of their families and what not. Maybe I haven’t done terrible at that… but this year I really want to break that mold.
Anyways – love you, honey. Thanks for sticking with me.
